Tigoni Tea Farms Ride
A full day through the tea plantations above Nairobi, with lunch at Kentmere Club and an optional tea factory visit and tasting.
Forty minutes north of Nairobi the city stops and the tea starts: rolling estate roads, hedgerows of tea in every direction, and air noticeably cooler than the one you left. The riding is undulating rather than hard, on quiet roads that see more pickers than cars.
Lunch and the rest stop are at Kentmere Club, our partner venue in Tigoni. Afterwards there is an optional visit to a tea factory — worth doing once, to see what happens to the leaf between the hedge and the cup.
