Rift Valley Escarpment Ride
Descend the Rift Valley escarpment with the whole valley laid out below you, then ride the floor with photo and wildlife stops.
The escarpment viewpoint is the picture everyone has seen of the Rift Valley, and the ride starts by dropping off it. The descent is the headline — a long, open run with the valley opening out ahead — and the floor riding afterwards takes you past wildlife with the escarpment wall behind you.
There is a walking trail or an extra viewpoint stop in the afternoon for anyone who wants it, and the support vehicle is there for anyone who does not. Back in Nairobi by 5.
Fitness
Mostly downhill and flat, but it is a long day in the sun at altitude. Comfortable for anyone who rides occasionally.
