Nairobi City & Forest Ride
A half-day through Karura Forest — traffic-free trails, a waterfall stop, and a guide who knows the city. The easiest way to see Nairobi from a bike.
Karura is a thousand acres of indigenous forest inside the city, threaded with trails and completely free of traffic. It is the best introduction to riding in Nairobi there is, and it needs no particular fitness — the trails roll gently and the pace is yours.
We meet at Valley Arcade, size you to a bike, run the safety briefing and ride out. The waterfall is the obvious stop; the caves and the bamboo section are the ones people remember. You are back by midday with the rest of the day intact.
Good to know
Suitable for first-time visitors and for anyone who has not ridden in a while. Bike sizing and fitting happen before departure, and your guide carries the tools and the first-aid kit.
